Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements for one of these programs to apply for permanent residency through Express Entry 2023. Requirements of the Express Entry : Federal Skilled Worker Program

The Federal Skilled Worker Program is designed for applicants who have foreign work experience and want to immigrate to Canada. According to the Express Entry 2023 policy, a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) evaluates each candidate. The system considers factors such as age, education, work experience, language proficiency, valid job offers, and adaptability.

Based on the applicant’s performance in each factor, they can earn points toward meeting the program’s eligibility requirements. The eligibility assessment for the Federal Skilled Worker Program involves a 100-point grid. Currently, the minimum required CRS score to qualify for the Express Entry 2023 and the Federal Skilled Worker Program, in particular, is 67 points.

To be eligible for the Federal Skilled Worker Program under the Express Entry 2023 system, foreigners need to meet the following requirements.

1. They must have at least one year of continuous full-time work experience in a skilled occupation under TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) system. The work experience must have been acquired within the last 10 years, and it must be paid.

The candidates also need to demonstrate that they have fulfilled the responsibilities outlined in the lead statement of the occupational description in the NOC while working in the same type of job as the job they want to use for the Express Entry 2023 application.

1. Applicants ought to be able to demonstrate their proficiency in either English or French by taking a designated language test, such as the IELTS for English or the TEF for French, and achieving a minimum score of the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) system. Now, it is CLB 7.

1. They ought to have at least one year of full-time work in a skilled occupation under TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 job categories of the NOC system. The work experience must have been acquired while on a valid work permit in Canada within the last three years, and it must be paid. Candidates also should demonstrate that they have performed the main duties listed in the lead statement of the occupational description in the NOC.
2. Foreigners should demonstrate their proficiency in either English or French by taking a designated language test. They need to get CLB 7 for TEER 0 or TEER 1 job or CLB 5 for TEER 2 or TEER 3 jobs.

5. Once they complete their Express Entry 2023 profile, they will receive a CRS score. If applicants meet the eligibility requirements and have a competitive CRS score, they will enter the Express Entry 2023 pool. Express Entry is a highly competitive program, and candidates need to get the highest possible scores under the CRS.
6. If candidates are one of the highest-ranking candidates in the pool, they receive an invitation to apply (ITA) for permanent residency in Canada.
7. If foreigners receive an ITA, they have 60 days to submit a permanent residency application, including all supporting documents and fees. The application fee is $1,365, and the processing time is up to a year.
8. Once applicants submit their Express Entry 2023 application, they need to undergo a medical examination and provide police certificates as part of the security screening process.
9. If the Express Entry 2023 application is approved, foreigners will receive confirmation of permanent residency, and they can then make plans to move to Canada.
