DEA Canadian College was founded by Yalda Ahmadvand in 2015. The institution, located in North Vancouver, is surrounded by the beautiful Coastal Mountains of British Columbia. The choice of academic courses includes ESL, General English or Business English, French, Spanish, and Farsi language classes. It is worth mentioning that the nationality and age mix at DEA Canadian College varies but the average student age during the academic year is 20 and 18 in summer.

Access to the profiles of various educational institutions and listings of their programs provide applicants with  a comprehensive overview of the admissions and study processes and post-secondary fit.

The Language programs available at DEA Canadian College include the TESOL Certification program, the CELPIP program, the IELTS Preparation, the TOEFL Preparation, English as Second Langauge, French, Spanish, English for Health Care, and English for Business. The duration of these General courses can vary from one week to 52 weeks and the average number of classes per week is 15. 

The DEA Canadian College`s TESOL Diploma program corresponds to TESL Canada standards and follows the  Language Canada’s Quality Assurance guidelines. During the five-week course, students are introduced to teaching, learning and language through task-based and interactive practice.

The University Pathway Program at DEA Canadian College prepares the attendees for bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, undergraduate and postgraduate diplomas, and certificates. The College is proud of its network of educational partners in Canada and around the globe, among which the York University, the University of Toronto, the Simon Fraser University, the Capilano University, the Brock University, the Conestoga College, the Durham College, the Langara College and hundreds of others. 

The DEA Canadian College Vocational programs include the National Professional Practice Exam (NPPE) Preparation, the Hospitality Operation Certificate, the Responsible Adult-Home Child Care Provider program, the Dental Office Administration program, the Home Support Worker Certificate program, and the Introduction to Small Business Management program.

The NPPE Preparation program is a prerequisite for registration in Engineers and Geoscientists of BC, Geology, Engineering, and Geophysics. The graduates and applicants are required to pass this exam successfully. The DEA Canadian College’s Hospitality Operation Certificate and Hospitality Management Diploma programs are offered in collaboration with the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute that is widely recognized as the preeminent leader in hospitality certification. The programs include the courses in Hotel and Restaurant Accounting, Managing Front Office Operations, Managing Housekeeping Operations, Supervision in the Hospitality Industry, Managing Technology, Hospitality Sales and Marketing, Lodging and Food Service Industry, and Managing Service in Food and Beverage Operations.

The DEA Canadian College`s course the Responsible Adult-Home Child Care Provider covers basic concepts about child development from birth to 12 years of age, child guidance, health, safety and nutrition, and programming. The DEA Canadian College`s Home Support Worker Certificate non-credit program prepares its graduates to the positions of attendants (home care), caregivers, companions, family caregivers or family workers, home support, and home healthcare. 

Students who choose the Dental Office Administration program at DEA Canadian College will be able to set up office systems, organize and coordinate appointments, maintain and manage patient records, employ correct methods of processing insurance claims. They will learn basic dental office procedures and treatment and payment plans. Graduates can work as clerical staff in the dental public health departments, customer service representatives in the dental offices or insurance companies, receptionists, and dental office administrators.

The course Introduction to Small Business Management focuses on the following disciplines: Entrepreneurial Skills, Finance Statements and Planning, Financing Business, Human Resources, Legal Obligations, Business Plan, Small Business Bookkeeping, Small Business Management, and Understanding Financial Needs. The graduates can work as office administrators, administrative or office manager assistants, and entry-level business development.

To start the Admission process, applicants must send via email a copy of the passport and a copy of the High School or Secondary Education Diploma. Then they will receive a link to a free online Cambridge English admission test and a link to schedule a Skype or in-person interview with the DEA Canadian College representative.

The Homestay program, available for the international students of DEA Canadian College, includes three meals per week, single or twin rooms, and travel time to school less than 60 minutes by public transit.
