Vancouver Community College is known for its Career programs that integrate classroom learning and practical training and prepare students for real-world employment. VCC graduates have one of the highest success rates for finding jobs in the province of British Columbia. International students in full-time career programs are eligible to work part-time, up to 20 hours per week during their studies, and full-time during program breaks. They are also allowed to apply for Post-Graduation Work Permit after completing a full-time Certificate, Diploma, or Degree program of eight months or longer at Vancouver Community College according to the Canadian Citizenship and Immigration norms. Vancouver Community College also provides first-year university Arts and Sciences credit courses, that can be transferred to many other universities and colleges of Canada.

A wide range of Certificate, Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, and Post-Degree Diploma programs are available for the applicants of Vancouver Community College. The Baking and Culinary field offers the Artisan Baking Certificate program; the Pastry Certificate program, and the Pastry ESL Certificate program that combines professional skills for fine pastry production with upgrading English speaking, reading, writing, and listening for the workplace; the Asian Culinary Arts Certificate program and the Culinary Arts Diploma program that prepares students for employment as line cooks or third cooks in hotel kitchens, restaurants, catering companies, airport flight kitchens, trains, cruise ships, camps, and institutional kitchens.

VCC Design programs are the Fashion Design and Production Diploma program; the Graphic Design Diploma; the Jewellery Art and Design Diploma programs. The Hair and Esthetics programs available are the Hairstylist and the Esthetics and Body Therapy Certificate programs; and the Cosmetology Diploma program.

VCC Health Sciences programs include the Dental Assisting Certificate program; the Dental Hygiene Diploma program; the Dental Reception Coordinator Certificate program; the Dental Technology Sciences and the Occupational/Physical Therapist Assistant Diploma programs; the Health Unit Coordinator and Health Care Assistant Certificate programs. 

The Hospitality Management programs at VCC are represented by the Hospitality Management Diploma program that is focused on professional business management practices for hotel and restaurant settings, including food and beverage cost controls, human resources, marketing, and law; and the Bachelor of Hospitality Management program. Applicants who are interested in Music and Dance careers can choose the Music Diploma program, the Bachelor of Applied Music program; and the Dance Diploma program.

Other programs available at Vancouver Community College are the Computer-Aided Draft and Building Information Modelling Technician Diploma program, the Computer Systems Technology Diploma program, the VR/AR Design and Development Diploma program, the Network Technology Administration and Security Post-Degree Diploma program, the Automotive Collision and Refinishing Diploma program, the Automotive Service Technology Diploma program, the Heavy Mechanical Technology Diploma program.

The University Transfer programs at Vancouver Community College iclude the First-Year University Transfer Arts Certificate, the First-Year University Transfer Science Certificate, the First-Year University Transfer Computing Science and Software Systems Certificate, the First-Year University Transfer Engineering Certificate, and the Associate of Science Degree programs.

Homestay Fee is 854 CAD per month, Airport Pick-Up is also available for 75 CAD.
