The University of Saskatchewan, also known as USask, was founded in 1907 in the vibrant city of Saskatoon. Since 1980 the University of Saskatchewan provides a wide range of English Language programs for students who plan to start a degree at USask or other Canadian educational institutions. The English for Academic Purposes program develops language, cultural and academic skills that help incoming students to succeed in university studies, career, and life. The program consists of four levels, each of which is designed to develop new language skills specifically needed for studies at the university. 

The upper levels of English for Academic Purposes program prepare learners linguistically, academically, and culturally to succeed. The final University Bridging level offers students the best introduction to university: continual support from USak`s Bridging experts; real lectures, textbooks, and assignments from the chosen university class are used as the basis of instruction; practical experience at the real university classes; credits that can be used toward the University of Saskatchewan degree. Available Direct-Entry Degree programs are Arts and Science, Agriculture and Bioresources, Engineering and Business. Other English Language programs include Evening English Classes in Academic or Graduate Writing, Spoken English, Pronunciation, and Customized Tutoring. Students can also pass the CanTEST at the University of Saskatchewan. It provides proof of their English language proficiency for admission to all the USak`s programs.
