The University of New Brunswick or UNB began its history in 1785 in Fredericton. Today it is the oldest and one of the best English-speaking universities in Canada, which boasts additional campuses in Saint John, Moncton, Bathurst, and two offices in the Caribbean and in Beijing. 

Being a strong educational institution, both in scientific and educational terms, UNB is a constant and worthy competitor to the University of Toronto. It attracts students from all over the world and provides international exchange to many countries. International students from over 90 countries make up almost 12% of the University's entire student population and the total number of students exceeds eleven thousand.

The University of New Brunswick is proud of its unique academic programs. It was the first in Canada to create university programs for training engineers, and today the institution is world-known for its Marine Biology courses or the Faculty of Business program which combines two BBA in two years based on any diploma.

The English Language Programme is available both at University of New Brunswick Fredericton and Saint John campuses. The English Language Programme at Saint John's campus offers a wider range of English courses, designed for academic success, competency in the workplace, or for personal interest. Saint John's programs are designed to satisfy all the specific language learning needs of students and are delivered by exceptional, highly-qualified language facilitators and the best UNB professors.

The College of Extended Learning at University of New Brunswick offers a wide range of open-entry courses and credit studies for career and professional development. Art, Music, English, and Leisure learning options are also available. It is worth mentioning, that most of the Extended Learning courses can be taught online for the best comfort and safety of students.

To enter the University of New Brunswick, international students must satisfy admission requirements that include a high level of English proficiency, as it is both the working language and the primary language of instruction and examination at University of New Brunswick. To confirm the level of English knowledge, one of the following certificates must be presented: IELTS with a minimum overall score of 6.5; TOEFL with a minimum overall score of 85; CAEL with a minimum overall score of 60; Pearson VUE Test with a minimum score of 59; Cambridge English Assessment c1 advanced or c2 proficiency with a minimum score of 176; Duolingo with a minimum overall score of 115. It is also worth mentioning, that the University of New Brunswick Policy states that all international students who have student visas must purchase international health insurance.

The University of New Brunswick Fredericton campus is 10 minutes' walk from the city center. It boasts a well-developed infrastructure that includes three libraries, a theater, a swimming pool, two gyms, sports grounds, and a football field. Studies take place in small groups of up to 30 people, which allows students and teachers to be in constant close contact and has an impact on the quality of the educational process. For the effective use of free time and the organization of leisure activities, UNB has various clubs and sports sections. Students can master such sports as baseball, cricket, fencing, judo, American football, golf, rugby, and others. Aitken Center Hokey Stadium is also located here and is home to the Varsity Reds hockey team, which successfully competes in the Canadian Interuniversity Sports League.

The UNB`s campus in Saint John's is located in one of the most beautiful places in the city, facing the Kenbekazi River. The campus also boasts a modern infrastructure that includes a student clinic, a huge bookstore, small and large conference rooms, and a tunnel system connecting the buildings. Almost all sports competitions are held in Saint John's huge Canada Games Stadium, the Seawolves university track and field team also trains on its basis. 

The University of New Brunswick Residence is a perfect housing option for students, that combines the freedom of living on their own with the support needed for the successful transition to university life.  The University of New Brunswick has 15 residences to choose from. 13 of them are located on the Fredericton campus and two on the Saint John campus. Depending on the campus, the university offers co-ed, all-female, or all-male residences. The fees include costs for room, heating, high-speed Internet, and meals. UNB offers  a customized meal plan that can suit every student, including those who do not live on campus. Its dining halls and cafeterias offer international and vegetarian cuisine. 

Degree program Tuition Fees at the University of New Brunswick start from 7,270 CAD to 12,870 CAD depending on the chosen program and its type and duration, the International Differential Fee is 9,753 CAD. It is also worth mentioning that UNB offers millions of dollars in scholarships. International high school applicants, students transferring from other post-secondary institutions, and students continuing their studies at UNB are eligible for these scholarships. They can be considered once they are accepted and while studying at the University of New Brunswick. Students need to submit the entrance scholarship application on admission, and continuing UNB students need to submit a scholarship application each year to be considered for scholarship support. Academic achievement is the primary consideration for scholarship support at UNB.
