SGIC Toronto General English Program has seven levels from Starter to Advanced and is designed differently to focus on the particular English needs of that level. Students learn and practice reading, writing, listening and speaking daily. The courses are combined with school tournaments and all-day excursions to have fun and meet students from other levels. Professional and experienced teachers who love their jobs and are sociable with the students in and outside the class are always available for consultations.

ESL students are also welcome to join the Canadian Friends Conversation Class and practice their conversation skills. Learners of the Advanced Level work on building their fluency in English by practicing speaking skills and functions used daily by native speakers. Also, they are challenged by going beyond ESL resources to actual English readings and vocabulary as used by native speakers in the real world. The courses in the ESL Advanced Level program aid the transition of students into SGIC`s University Pathway Program, which models itself on Canadian university and college-level content, instruction and expectation.

The Pathway Program at SGIC Toronto is designed for international students who have already reached an advanced level or who have outdated their TOEFL or TOEIC scores. The course is designed to fill the academic gaps needed to succeed in post-secondary programs instructed in English and covers all the language skills comprehensively. Sub-skills such as vocabulary and grammar within an academic context of a variety of tasks and assignments typically found in Canadian post-secondary institutions are also included.

SGIC`s Pre Pathway Program combines academic course work with advanced English language training and enables students to integrate smoothly and successfully into University and College Preparation Program. The course is developed to improve students` academic English language skills; enhance writing skills; develop greater professional skills and stronger writing performance; achieve high academic goals.
