The Block Plan, adopted by the school, is the learning mode that allows international students to master content and application, diving deep into each subject with a class of no more than 20 students. At Quest University Canada, students focus on only one class every 3.5 weeks. After that, they get a four-day break before they start their next class. To graduate from Quest University Canada, international students have to complete 32 blocks or eight blocks per year. One block is equivalent to the semester at a traditional university.
The Foundation Program lasts the first two years. A curriculum covers Liberal Arts and Sciences, tackling themes from the classic to the contemporary. During the Foundation Program, you will need to complete 16 courses that include three main courses (Cornerstone, Rhetoric, Question), three Life Sciences courses, a Mathematics course, two Physical Sciences courses, three Social Sciences courses, three Arts and Humanities courses, and a Language course.
At the end of the second year, you will need to write your personalized Question that will steer your final two years at Quest University Canada. The Question should introduce a unique specialization to your education. Based on the Question, you will create a personalized academic program and complete a Keystone Project. This project is equivalent to an undergraduate-level thesis.
The Concentration Program covers the last two years at Quest University Canada. Your faculty mentor will help you develop the academic program and guide you in building your personalized degree. Based on your Question and the topics you are interested in, the Concentration Program is customized to your unique interests and aspirations.
During the Concentration Program, you will be required to take 16 courses, including Keystone course, three to five Electives, one to four Experiential Learning courses, and a minimum of six Focus courses. Remember, that to complete your undergraduate education you need to finish your Keystone project successfully and present it during the Keystone course. The project has to reflect your viewpoints, knowledge, experience, research, and skills gained during your studies at Quest University Canada.
Admission Requirements
University has two application deadlines. The early action deadline is on December 1, and the regular application deadline is on February 15. However, the school continues to process applications until the class is full.
Quest University allows international students to start their studies almost anytime during the year. In other words, you can start the study program at the beginning of the 3.5-week Block. To do this, you need to check out when the preferred Block begins at the Term Calendar and contact the Office of Admissions.
To study at Quest University Canada, you need to complete the five-step admission process.
- You have to complete and submit the online application to Quest University Canada.
- You should log in to the applicant dashboard of the Quest University Canada, SquareOne. Login information will be included in a confirmation email from the school. SquareOne is a portal where you should pay the application fee, upload all documents and forms, check your application status and the admission decision. The admission officers consider the application complete when all documents have green checkmarks in SquareOne.
International students are required to provide the high school or university transcript, long and short essays, and English language proficiency test scores. International students must submit official transcripts through WES (World Education Services) for evaluation. International students can demonstrate English language proficiency by taking one of the recognized tests. If you pass TOEFL iBT, you need to get a minimum score of 90. If you decide to take the TOEFL PBT, you should get 580. You need to receive a score of 180 if you pass CPE. If you pass PTE, you ought to receive a minimum score of 65.
