NorQuest College was founded in 1965 in Edmonton, Alberta and now serves almost 20,000 learners. Most of them are full-time and part-time credit students, and 8,480 are non-credit or continuing education learners. NorQuest College is proud to provide access to adult education in Edmonton, Drayton Valley, Whitecourt, Wetaskiwin. Three of the abovementioned regional campuses complement two Edmonton campuses in the region that encompasses 26 diverse communities. The institution is also popular among international students, today 57% of its attendees are born outside of Canada and in total 115 different languages spoken on campus.

NorQuest College research services include applied research, market research, community-based research, discovery research, and scholarly inquiry performed by faculty, staff, and students in collaboration with external organizations or businesses. Research themes cover the areas of Health, Business and Industry, Community, and Social Innovation.
NorQuest College provides learning opportunities for all and the choice of its programs includes Certificate, Diploma, Continuing Education, and Course Credits. Workforce-relevant programs across a wide range of disciplines that include Health, Business, Community Studies, English Language Training, and Environment and Technology are taught by exceptional faculty who are connected and engaged in their industry. Academic Upgrading, Dual Credit, Open Studies programs are also available.
The Health Studies Certificate programs at NorQuest College vary in duration, starting from 13 weeks for up to two terms. Their choice includes Advanced Education in Orthopaedics for LPNs, Advanced Foot Care, Dental Office Assistant, Health Care Aide, Health Care Leadership, Medical Device Processing Technician, Medical Office Assistant, Optical Office Assistant, Veterinary Office Assistant programs. NorQuest College`s Health Studies Diploma programs are Interdisciplinary Therapy Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Practical Nurse, and Therapeutic Recreation. All Diploma programs demand five-six terms of preparation, some of them are available in the online mode.
NorQuest Business Certificate programs prepare students for the careers of an accounting technician or an administrative professional. The Business Administration Diploma program is available in person and online, its duration is 4-5 terms.
The following Community Studies Certificate programs are open at NorQuest: Addictions Recovery Practitioner, Early Learning and Child Care, Community Support Worker, Educational Assistant, and Mental Health Recovery Practitioner. A wide choice of Diploma programs includes a four-term Child and Youth Care, Disability Studies, Early Learning, and Child Care, Indigenous Studies programs, a five-term program in Settlement Studies, and six-term programs in Justice and Social Work.
An interdisciplinary Diploma program in Energy Management provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary for the growing workforce needs in the energy sector. They are taught to apply emerging renewable energy sources, understand energy efficiency, and navigate energy policy. The Environmental Protection Technology Diploma program is also available at NorQuest College.
NorQuest College operates as a high school and provides a wide range of courses that are accredited according to the provincial Education Curriculum of Alberta. Students can upgrade only the courses they need for their post-secondary entrance, or they can earn a high school diploma or general education diploma. It is worth mentioning that students can choose the delivery method that suits their learning style - in person or online real-time classes or online anytime classes.
NorQuest students have an opportunity to combine high school courses with post-secondary and earn credits for both at the same time. Dual Credit experiences fit with high school`s programs and students` future career and educational goals and even include practical experiences with employers.
Being popular among international students, NorQuest offers its applicants a wide range of English Language programs: ESL Intensive, LINC - Language Instruction to Newcomers to Canada, Teaching English as a Second Language, NorQuest Bridging to Post-Secondary, and Teaching Language as an Additional Language Professional.
NorQuest ESL Intensive program provides integrated language courses that focus on general Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. English for Academic Purposes course is designed to help learners to achieve their future academic goals. It is worth mentioning, that some of these courses may be used for meeting academic admission requirements at Alberta post-secondary institutions and English language proficiency requirements for NorQuest College post-secondary programs. English for Specific Purposes course prepares students for further education or employment in specific Health and Business careers by teaching career-specific vocabulary and language used in those fields.
Employment programs available at NorQuest include the Apprenticeship Prep Certificate program, Day Home Provide Certificate program, and Transition to Employment Certificate program.
NorQuest Continuing Education and Custom Training is an industry-focused educational organization that provides programs and courses in Workplace Skills, Fire Safety, Productivity, Hospitality Management, and Diversity-Inclusion.
NorQuest Work-Integrated Learning and Career Education Centre maximizes student empowerment through education and supports students in gaining workforce relevant experience by providing opportunities for students to participate in work-integrated learning.
It is worth mentioning, that NorQuest College does not provide an on-campus residence for its students, but they are guaranteed assistance in finding the best housing accessible to the College.
NorQuest College applicants who receive an offer of admission are required to pay a non-transferable tuition deposit which is applied to the first term’s tuition. All tuition fees are assessed on a per-credit basis according to the program in which the students are enrolled. The average tuition for an international student is from 320 CAD to 664 CAD per credit.
