Express Entry- is an online immigration system, which looks like immigration pool of online applications of potential future immigrants. 1) Federal Skilled Worker Program. This program is dedicated to overseas experienced and educated workers, who would like to Immigrate Through Express Entry and come to Canada on a permanent place of living. There are main selection factors in this program, such as Work Experience, education, Language proficiency, adaptability, age, whether or not candidate has Job offer in Canada, etc. The maximum score that potential candidate can obtain is 100 and the minimum pass score is 67. Each candidate can calculate his potential score before real participation in express entry pool and Immigrate Through Express Entry application. It is highly recommended to know each section criteria and assessment required for such criteria. Lets review all of them:
a)Age. It is not a secret, that Canadian Government and Immigration prefer to invite young education and hard working people and provide them permanent residency in order to increase financial growth and strength of the country. Indeed, maximum points candidates get for the age criteria, who are up to 29 years old on the moment of application. On the 2nd stage, people who are under 33 years old get still good points for immigration. As for the applicants over 33 years old, they have to make decision about immigration as soon as possible as they loosing points every year and may not get enough points because of that. As a result they will not be able to Immigrate Through Express Entry.
b)Education. As was mentioned educated people have a great value as well for the future of Canada’s economy. Indeed, applicants with Master Degree and PHD Level get maximum points for this criteria and may Immigrate Through Express Entry. However, candidates with at least bachelor degree or more degrees are also welcome to participate. Obviously, people with only Secondary Education has low chances for immigration in this particular program. Future Immigrant will need to evaluate his academic transcripts as per North American Education System, using specifically approved agencies. Sometimes, people have a master degree in their home country, however after evaluation it is recognized as Bachelor Degree and vice versa.
c) Work on your Language Proficiency in order to Immigrate Through Express Entry. As soon as Canada has 2 official languages, candidate is welcome to choose between English or French Exam. d)Work Experience. Work experience, that the candidate obtained in his home country or overseas will be counted in his application only in case if it is suitable to NOC 0,A or B. NOC- National Occupation Classification , that evaluates and classifies each employment job and position to special classes. For example, NOC 0 is a managerial occupations, NOC A presents occupations, which require higher education ( example: doctor, teacher, accountant, etc). As for the NOC B, there we have to remember trades professions like plumber, electrician, etc. In order to be qualified for express entry participation and get some points in this criteria candidate must have at least 1 year of full time employment. Maximum 3 years of overseas work experience is recognized. As a proof of work experience in your home country or any other country, official letter from your employer with all employment information will be required. In case, if the letter will be not in English language, certified translation will be mandatory. This letter must include your position, date of employment start, salary, responsibilities and duties, official employer information, signature, stamp and contact details of manager or owner. Try to get proof of all your work experience in order to have a chance to immigrate through express entry system.
e)Settlement Funds. Canada Immigration requires future immigration to have some funds for their first year of living in Canada. The amount , which is required sometimes slightly changes, however it is around $12,900 CAD for the last 6 month. The idea, the future immigrant will need time to understand and figure out how to live in Canada until he will find the job or open the business. Indeed, Canadian Government wants to be sure that fresh immigrant will be independent in order to allow him and his family to Immigrate Through Express Entry.
2) Canadian Experience Class. This immigration program fits for temporary residents inside Canada, who have and obtained Canadian work and/or education experience. As was mentioned , there are same eligibility criteria in express entry pool, however there are some additional points candidates can get in case if they have Canadian experience. Lets Review next criteria:
a) Education. Same as in federal Skilled Worker program, more advanced education program gets more points for future immigration. However in addition to applicant overseas education, future immigrant may obtain next education programs, which available in Canada: 1 year certificate program, 2 years diploma program, 3 years advanced diploma program, 4 years bachelor program, post-bachelor program and graduate certificate program, master program and finishing PHD level.
b) Work Experience. In order to be eligible for this type of program, it is required to have at least 1 year work experience in Canada. Also, your Canadian Work experience should be in NOC 0,A or B. Documents, that should be included in your application as a proof of work experience will be paystubs, employment letter, etc. The more years of work experience candidate gets and finally can show to Canada Immigration, the more immigration points for this program criteria he gets.
c) Age. As was mentioned previously, Canada Immigration puts priority on young people up to 33 years old. However, more years of Canadian Work and Education Experience you have, more points you can cover against your mature age. Do not give up and try to work more in Canada as soon as you have legal work status and get qualified NOC employment position.
d)Language Proficiency. It is required to have at least CLB 7 in order to be qualified for the program and meet the requirements of Language proficiency. There are 2 languages are available : French and English. Both tests for each language will only raise the score, however only 1 Language test is required.
3) Federal Skilled Trades program. This program provides a chance for immigration to Canada for people, who have experience in trades occupation and specialization.
a) Speaking about the minimum requirements for this program, we have to mentioned first of all Language proficiency requirements. Obviously, showing the results of recognized tests for both Languages : English and French will raise the language scores for this criteria, however minimum result is CLB 5. Now, lets review other main requirements for this program.
b) Work Experience. Potential application must have at least 2 years work experience in NOC B for the last 5 years and on occupations, that do not require additional certification. Also, future immigrant must have a valid full time job offer for at least 1 year or certificate of qualification in that skilled trade, issued by Canadian Authority.
c) Education. Although, there is no mandatory requirements for candidate’s education backgrounds, however in order to increase the score in future Immigration Express Entry Profile, it is make sense it show and prepare educational credentials in advance. Most Express Entry Candidates use WES organization for recognition purposes of educational credentials.
d) Settlement Funds. As in Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program required financial settlement funds ,depending on how many family members will immigrate. There is a minimum $12,900 CAD for the main applicant is required in order to meet the requirements, unless candidate has a valid job offer in Canada or currently working in Canada. In that case, candidate will be exempt from such requirements.
You must be not inadmissible to Canada in order Immigrate Through Express Entry.All programs in Express Entry System require from Candidate not be Inadmissible to Canada. Be aware, that Candidate may be inadmissible to Canada, because of the next reasons:
- Security Reasons. Templates of this section, might be actions of violence, terrorism, espionage, etc.
- Human and International rights violations in Canada and overseas. War, crime against humanity, etc.
- Medical Reasons. Candidates health problems, that might create danger to pubic health and safety and bring excessive demand on health or social services.
- Financial Reasons. In case, candidate is not able to cover the expenses of further immigration to Canada
- Providing false information to Canada Immigration or withhold any useful and important information.
- Having inadmissible family member.
- Failure to follow IRPA regulations and laws.
- Commitment in crime or serious criminality.
Also, it should be mentioned, that some provincial programs might be processed for final decision through express entry system, however they are not part of the mandatory immigration pool. It might be used jus for transition and temporary purposes.
