To be eligible an applicant’s skilled work experience must be in the same group of jobs (with the same NOC) as the one selected in the immigration application (1), must be gained within the last 10 years (2), the job must be paid because voluntary positions are not recognized (3) and the experience must be not less than 1 year or 1560 hours as a total (4). Also, knowledge of the language is mandatory. Canada established two official languages - English and French. A candidate must take and pass either the English or French exam which was designated by the government.
