Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning began its history in 1967 in Kitchener, Ontario. Today the institution is one of the fastest-growing colleges in the province and is known as the best provider of polytechnic education across the region. Recent Conestoga College statistics show that the number of its registered students is close to 23,000, part-time enrollments exceed 30,000. Much attention is paid to a hands-on learning experience, that is why the approximate number of apprenticeship seats is 3,500.
Conestoga College and its community play an important role in the economic and business life of the Ontario province. Conestoga offers one of the largest choices in degree programs in Ontario. Among its 200 programs, there are Full-time and Accelerated programs, Co-ops and Apprenticeships, FAST and Graduate Certificate programs, Open and Second Career programs. International students are offered a well-tailored English for Academic Purposes program that is available in four different levels of preparation. Newcomers have to pass a preliminary English test or show their IELTS/TOEFL certificates. Based on these results, they are assigned to a particular level of English for Academic Purposes course. To join this program, international students must reach the age of 18.
Conestoga College has an International Admission office that is ready to assist incoming students in all the necessary for application and admission services. The international application is available online, the same as the list of Conestoga programs open for students from abroad. 100 CAD Application Fee can be paid via online service Flywire. Special orientation panels and sessions are also available for international students.
Students of Conestoga College are offered a wide range of Housing options that include on-campus and off-campus living, Homestay programs, and temporary accommodations. Kitchener and Doon/Cambridge Residences are available for on-campus living, but the number of places is limited and they are available only to full-time students. Many off-campus safe and comfortable rentals are available in the region too. In partnership with Canada Homestay Network, Conestoga College can also provide homestay programs to those students who prefer living with a Canadian family. Conestoga College also offers a lot of campus life services: sport, transportation, food, parking, and security.
Tuition Fees vary depending on a chosen program, its duration, and the year of study. The average tuition fees are from 10,350 CAD to 17,800 CAD per year. International students must also pay a 1,500 CAD mandatory, non-refundable tuition deposit.
