Common-Law Sponsorship
Common-Law Sponsorship: Client Reference
"My name is Fernanda and I am originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil. I would like to share my experience about my Immigration to Canada through common-law sponsorship immigration program and getting help from International Experience Club. I started my way since I was accepted to public college in Canada for graduate program in business. Before my graduation, I was thinking to extend my stay in Canada and enjoy living in this beautiful country for a couple of years. One of my classmates suggested me the IEC company, as they already got positive experience with the admission and immigration services. I came to the IEC office and got very clear and straight forward immigration plan like to get post-graduate work permit and continue my stay in Canada as a worker. After submission my application with help of this company, I got approval and got my post-graduate work permit. During my stay on a work permit, i met a Canadian boyfriend and started dating with him. After 1,5 year of dating with him, he offered me to live together in order to put our relations on the next step. We had a good time together, traveled Canada, had party with mutual friends and enjoy living in Canada and each other. Everything was fine until the day, when I noticed that my work permit and visa was already expired 1 month ago. I was shocked, as I always follow rules and remember about all my work duties and life responsibilities. I called IEC company immediately and schedule a meeting with them. It has to be mentioned that even knowing my tough and lack of time situation, they still provided me free consultation and advised the plan of restoration of my status as a Visitor. I agreed and thanks to IEC, they helped me restore my status in Canada. However, it was only for 6 month and I asked them to help me with Immigration to Canada, because of my boyfriend in Canada and our strong 1,5 year relations. After calculation my immigration points and checking all types of immigration programs, we figured out that for that moment I did not have enough points, except 1 immigration way, which was common-law sponsorship.
I spoke with my boyfriend that evening and he was so happy to help me and have chance to save our relations and avoid such stress in our together life. As per requirements of common-law sponsorship immigration program, it was required to show 12 month of cohabitation in one apartment, which was not a problem as soon as we started live together my boyfriend added me a 2nd tenant. Indeed, it was so pragmatic and forward thinking from his side. Also, IEC Immigration helped us with preparation pretty huge application package. Common-law Sponsorship application was included around 50 documents and papers, such as Embassy Applications, our photos, text messages, bills, receipts, bank transactions, accounts, rental agreements, reference letters from friends and relatives, mutual travel tickets and accommodation and of course our love story, etc. I also would like to mention professionalism, ethics, tack attitude to me and my boyfriend in preparing our personal documents and obtaining our own information, regarding our relations. It was pleasure to work with such modern, fully understanding people. As soon as we and IEC immigration prepared and double check 3 times my common-law sponsorship application, it was sent to Immigration office. It took 4 month in order to make my Monday evening and get the news from IEC about my work permit approval in Canada. IEC Immigration suggested me also add work permit application in my immigration package before we submitted it in order not to waste time by waiting immigration decision, however also work and not just sitting at home on my Visitor Visa. To put it forward, after another 8 month of happy life with my boyfriend and waiting of the result of my common-law sponsorship immigration, I was approved and got my permanent resident in Canada. I was so happy with my experience in Canada and using IEC immigration services and obviously the Immigration Decision by Canadian Government. It has to be mentioned, that this company also helped some of my friends to come to Canada as Experienced Workers and helped with admission and study permit to my step sister from brazil. I was surprised about experience of this company in different directions and good & trust relations with most colleges and universities in Canada. Moreover, after I got my permanent residency by common-law sponsorship program in Canada and living in Canada another 2-3 years, I got my Canadian passport as well with kind assistance of IEC company.
It is not a secret, that Common-law Sponsorship is pretty good established immigration program, created by Canadian Government in order to create and save relations of Canadian couples and help people to create a family and successful life in Canada. I highly recommend this program for people, who have real relations, however do not want to be fast with marriage ceremony. One of the main requirement of this program is to have 12 month of cohabitation and provide as much proof as you can that you have real relations, such as mutual travel documents, text messages and photos, joined bank accounts, rental agreement, etc. Common-law Sponsorship is also helps to check your relations between you and your partner in such challenging life situation for one of you and Canadian person in order to see the behavior and reactions in particular situation. As soon as you and your partner can successfully manage this challenge and get all common-law sponsorship documents and submit the application, you can be confident in your mutual together life in Canada. I wish everybody to have a positive experience in Canada and get help from International Experience Club as well.
Currently, I am citizen of Canada, my boyfriend now is my husband and we have 2 beautiful daughters, who are also Canadians. I appreciate help of International Experience Club and my positive experience in common-law sponsorship immigration to Canada. I wish good luck everybody in Canada!"
