The College of New Caledonia, also known as CNC, was founded in 1969 in Prince George, British Columbia. Today it has five more campuses in Burns Lake, Mackenzie, Fort St. James, Quesnel, and Vanderhoof.

CNC is proud of its wide network of partners, and Credit Transfer Agreements toward a four-year degree with the best universities of Canada - the Simon Fraser University, the University of British Columbia, the University of Victoria, the University of Northern British Columbia, the Thompson Rivers University, and the Royal Roads University. Together with the Emily Carr University of Art and Design CNC has developed a unique Fine Arts program that allows students to take basic first-year courses at the CNC campus in Prince George, and then they are transferred to the Emily Carr campus in Vancouver and continue their studies for three more years there.

The annual enrollment to the College of New Caledonia is close to 5,000 students, all of them have access to a full range of Career, Technical, University Credit, and Vocational programs and courses. Areas of study available at CNC include Business and Management, Trades and Industry, Community and Continuing Education, Human Services, Health Sciences, Technologies, Upgrading and Access, and University Studies. The total number of available programs is 92 and there are more than 900 courses open for enrollment. The College of New Caledonia Featured programs include the Medical Laboratory Technology Science Diploma program, the Associate of Science Math and Computer Science program, the Access Pre Civil Engineering Technology, and the Civil Engineering Technology program. 

The CNC Business and Management Certificate programs are the ABT Medical Office Assistant Online and ABT Office Assistant Online programs, the Applied Business Technology program, the Bookkeeping, and Business Management programs, their duration can slightly vary, but is close to one year. Six-month Associate Certificate programs available at the College are the Medical Office Assistant and Office Worker Prep Associate Certificate programs. The Accounting and Finance, and Business Management  Diploma programs, together with the Post-Diploma programs in human Resources Management and Tourism and Hotel Management are also available.

The field of Health Sciences at the College of New Caledonia is represented with the Dental Assistant Certificate program, the Dental Hygiene Diploma program, the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Diploma program, the Health Care Assistant Certificate Program, the Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Associate program, the Medical Laboratory Technology Science Diploma program, the Medical Radiography Technology Diploma program and the Practical Nurse Diploma program, the Nursing Unit Assistant Certificate program and two-year Nursing Baccalaureate. 

The College of New Caledonia Human Services include one-year programs in Community Support, Early Childhood Care and Learning, Education Assistance, and the Social Service Worker Certificate program, the Social Service Worker Applied or UT Diploma program, and the two-year Early Childhood Care and Learning Diploma program.

The CNC Diploma programs available in Technologies are Natural Resources and Forest Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, and the Post-Diploma Information Technologies program. The one-year Computer Network Technician Certificate program and the Access Pre Civil Engineering Technology Upgrading program are also open for students.

The College of New Caledonia offers one of the best choices of Trades and Industry programs in the province of British Columbia. These include Apprenticeships, Foundation Programs, Certificate, and Diploma programs that prepare students for a career of an automotive service technician, carpenter, industrial mechanic, motor vehicle body repairer, professional cook, residential building maintenance worker, refinishing prep technician, automotive service technician, parts and warehousing person; and in the fields of heavy mechanical trades, electrical, metal fabrication, pipe trade, welding, 3rd and 4th class power engineering.

The CNC University Studies programs include twenty Associate Degree, Diploma and Certificate programs in Aboriginal Studies, Applied Science, Arts, Anthropology, English, Modern Classics, Psychology, Sociology, Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Computer Science, Criminology, Fine Arts, Kinesiology, Web and Graphic Design. The Upgrading and Access programs available at the College of New Caledonia are the Pre Early Childhood Care and Learning, Pre Medical Laboratory Technology, Pre Medical Radiography Technology, Pre Natural Resource and Forestry Technology, Pre Practical Nurse, Pre Social Service Worker, Pre Web and Graphic Design, Developmental, English Language, and the Job Education Training. 

The College of New Caledonia boasts more than 30 years of successful experience in teaching English as a Second Language and is known as one of the best English Language Institutes in British Columbia and Canada. Before being enrolled in classes, all applicants are assessed and placed at the appropriate level. This allows students to progress to higher levels of language skill comfortably and concentrates teachers` attention on the necessary improvements in their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Students who continue their English Language Training at higher levels can choose one or two CNC university-level courses and finish their English Language Training with university credits.

International Education Department at the College of New Caledonia assists international students in their application process and also after their successful admission. CNC offers three intakes during the year in January, May, and September. Students` applications are accepted until the start date of each semester, provided seats are available in the chosen program, but it is always better to apply at least six months before the desired start of the studies. International students must provide scanned copies of their passport pages, scanned originals of the secondary school graduation transcripts, or any college or university transcripts for CNC post-diploma programs. Proof of English language proficiency is also necessary for those applicants, who did not attend the English Language Training program at the College of New Caledonia. It is worth mentioning, that all documents, required for the admission, must be accompanied by a notarized, official translation into English where applicable.

To provide comfortable and safe accommodation, CNC has specialists that help students to choose the best option for their stay in Canada. Housing Manager Office and Residence Advisor Office work Monday to Friday and are open to all the students. They are offered a wide range of accommodation programs that vary in length and take into account all students` needs. To get the most of the Academic and Trades Housing program at the College of New Caledonia it is better to apply for it at least six months in advance.

Tuition Fees vary depending on the program, and for international students, they start with 4,700 CAD per Semester to 40,000 CAD per two-year Diploma program in Dental Hygiene.
