The Acsenda School of Management (commonly known as Acsenda or ASM) is a private degree college in Vancouver, British Columbia. The core academic program at Acsenda School of Management is a four-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. This undergraduate business program prepares Acsenda students to meet the challenges of globalization, innovation, and competitiveness. The BBA degree program covers the study areas of international business management, marketing management, human resource management, accounting, and general management.
The new Bachelor of Hospitality Management (BHM) program is a four-year direct entry program designed to meet the needs of the industry. The program integrates leadership and management skills with key strategic and operational skills and equips ASM students with the digital, management, and business background the hospitality industry now demands. It combines business courses from the BBA with specialized courses in hospitality management. The BHM degree program also offers its students a six-month internship experience abroad, which helps to prepare graduates for management careers in the global industry.
The Academic Pathways program permits a stress-free transition between partner schools. The list of Acsenda`s Canadian and international partners include Arbutus College, Columbia College, Royal Roads University, University of California, Riverside, and NYiT, the USA, Sprott Shaw College, St. Louis University, the Philippines and Manav Bharti University, India.
Students of Acsenda School of Management also have opportunities to earn credits towards a professional designation that fits with their future career plans. ASM has agreements with a wide range of professional associations, that allow students to plan their business degree as a pathway to a professional career. The list of partners in the Professional Pathway program includes the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Canadian Institute of Management, Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation, Chartered Professional Accountants, CPHR British Columbia and Yukon, Forum for International Trade Training.
English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses are intended for Acsenda`s students who want to enhance their English skills or require additional training. The EAP courses are a part of a student’s degree program and focus on the areas of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students also get additional academic skills in a business context that include critical and creative thinking, academic research, problem-solving, note-taking, setting and achieving goals, teamwork, time management, effective presentations, computer basics, and library orientation and information literacy. It is worth mentioning, that students may also register for one or two other selected academic courses while taking the EAP courses.
Applicants who need to improve their mathematical skills prior to taking core courses can enroll in a 3-credit course, that provides the necessary foundations required for the Business Math courses.
The Admissions Requirements for international students include a copy of valid study permits and passport, proof of graduation from a high school or equivalent program with a grade of C+ (65%) or higher. Applicants must also meet English and Math requirements.
The Campus of the Acsenda School of Management is conveniently located in Downtown Vancouver. This gives students plenty of housing options to choose from: homestay programs, student residences, family housings, and relocation services, and other off-campus housing services.
Acsenda`s program Tuition Fees are calculated based on the number of courses taken. International students must pay a non-refundable prepaid tuition deposit before an official Letter of Acceptance is sent to them. It is equivalent to four courses. International Tuition Fees are 1,560 CAD per course (3 credits).
